Free Cruises to the Bahamas for Military Personnel

As a thank you to all of our active duty military personnel, Discovery Cruises is pleased to offer a free one day Discovery cruise to Grand Bahama Island to any person who as served as active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan at any time in the last year. The cruise sails daily from Ft. Lauderdale to Grand Bahama Island, departing at 7:45 am and arriving back at the pier at 10 pm. That’s a pretty nice deal.

The offer is available between now and December 31, 2010. It includes one free roundtrip cruise to Grand Bahama on the Discovery Cruise Line including meals (even the swanky seven-course gourmet dinner in the Grand Bahama Grill), all service charges, taxes, and Bahamian departure fees. According to the press release, there are no additional costs involved. No strings attached.

You can sign up a friend or family member for the cruise online at DiscoveryCruiseLine.com. The cruise line will then mail you a receipt and a holiday card to pass on to the service man or woman. The receipt should be presented at the pier at the time of sailing, along with a Military ID and a letter from his or her unit confirming the places of service during the preceding year. Advanced reservations are required.

In addition to the free food, Discovery offers casino action, live entertainment, outdoor games and
activities, contests, sun decks, a swimming pool, duty free shopping, and more.
