Cheapest resorts in Turks and Caicos

The Turks and Caicos are known to be the playground of the rich and famous but, thankfully, there are quite a bunch of budget hotels and resorts suitable for pretty much any budget.

Miramar Resort

The resort offers a great view of the ocean and the reef near-by and the prices are very affordable. There’s a restaurant on site and plenty of other restaurants at Turtle Cove (within 1 min from the resort). The resort also offers a pool and a tennis court. Each room has AC and TV.

The resort opens each year on November 1 and closes on May 31. The Highest prices are between Dec 16 and Apr 15 , when you will pay US$145 per night for a deluxe pool view room and US$160 per night for a deluxe ocean view room. Rates are based on single or double occupancy and exclude the taxes. Dive and honeymoon packages are available.

Turtle Cove Inn

Locate at Turtle Cove Marina, this is one of the best budget hotels on Turks and Caicos. The beaches are right near the hotel and you can dive, snorkel and fish. There are four types of rooms to choose from. The rates are highest during winter (Dec 21, 2008 – Apr 14, 2009) when you’ll pay US$105 per night for a value room, US$120 per night for standard poolside room, US$140 per night for a standard marina view room and US$180 per night for a marina view apartment. Rates are based on single or double occupancy. The minimum stay is 2 nights and the rates do not include the taxes. The children under 12 can stay for free in their parents’ bed.

Turks Head Mansion

The place is excellent no matter why you visit Turks and Caicos: romance, family vacation, week-end getaway or business trip. The mansion is located on the West Coast of the unspoiled island of Grand Turk in a building which dates from the 1800s. The beach is located close by. During the peak season the prices range between US$175 per room per night for the upstairs rooms, US$150 per room per night for the garden rooms and US$50 per room per night for Coachman’s Quarters (year round price). The prices do not include the taxes.

Osprey Beach Hotel

Having been hit by Hurricane Ike, the hotel has been accepting bookings again starting October 1, 2008. The rooms however were not damaged during the Hurricane and the atrium has been rebuilt. The small hotel offers 27 beachfront rooms, with kitchen and TV. Packages are available and you need to email or call the hotel to make reservations. According to the online reservation sites the average year round price is US$150 per room per night.

Comfort Suites Turks & Caicos Island

The suites are located on Providenciales Island, at about 300 yards from Grace Bay. You can swim in the pool located right in the garden and you can even learn to scuba there. The suites are equipped with coffee makers and TV and you can enjoy the continental breakfast at the bar. The rates start at US$113 per room per night for 2 persons during the high season but go up to US$163 per room per night (2 persons) during Christmas and New Year’s. Prices do not include the taxes.
