Best Restaurants in the Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo: Peperoni

This is one of the most elegant restaurants in Santo Domingo, where stars like to stop by and eat. From Elisabeth Taylor to Chelsea Clinton and everyone famous, they have tried Peperoni’s cuisine. And speaking of, you’ll find anything from Sushi to Caesar Salad and a wide collection of pastas. Italian, French and Californian wines –to name just a few- accompany the dishes.

Cabarete: Martini’s Beach Bar & Grill

Don’t let the name fool you. This is the newest full service restaurant on the beachfront property of Cabarete East condominiums, just east of downtown Cabarete.

The restaurant offers American cuisine and also has a special Taco night on Tuesday from 7 pm. The restaurant also offers a Kid’s Menu, as well as “Happy Hour” Menu. Needless to say that being a bar you’ll find a huge selection of cocktails to try. On the last Sunday of each month they throw a “pig roast party”.

The restaurant is open daily from 4 pm to 6 pm and from 9 pm to 11 pm.

Santo Domingo: El Conuco

If you are looking for a place where you can eat Dominican cuisine, look no further. You find a lot of local dishes here and at reasonable prices. It’s indeed a lovely place for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Plus the entertainment is always at its best especially if you are after listening to local music and watching local dances.

Punta Cana: The JellyFish Restaurant

Right on the beach, you’ll find this lovely restaurant serving sea food with a touch of Italian flare. Sit inside or on the deck to enjoy their lovely cuisine and the beautiful setting. Both locations offer lovely views of the ocean and are just perfect for a romantic night out.

Punta Cana: Captain Cook Restaurant

Yet another restaurant which serves fresh sea food! It’s located right on the Playa El Cortecito. You just need to go to the barrel of fresh seafood and choose the one which will end up in your plate. The restaurant doesn’t look glamorous but the food is worth it. And there’s a nice view of the ocean as well. And there are even some mariachis playing in the background.
