Hotels in Saba

Forget about the huge glamorous hotels located right on the beach…the hotels on Saba a small, tucked away in forests and offering great views of the sea and mountains. Many of them are family owned and a lot have very affordable prices.

Climate and Tourist Season

The weather is generally hot, but cooled by the trade winds. The annual average temperature is 27C/80F, varying by couple of degrees between seasons. The winter evenings require a sweater as the temperature can get a bit cooler. And if you climb Mount Scenery expect the temperatures to drop by approximately 0.2C/0.4F for each 100m/330ft gained in altitude. The rainy season lasts between June and November but the rainiest month is November.

Although people don’t come here for the beaches, the high season remains the same as all over the Caribbean: December to April with Christmas and New Year’s having higher rates (in some resorts)

Scout’s Place Hotel, Windwardside

This tiny hotel has only 14 rooms but all over great views and all have balcony. The rooms have fridge, cable, dial-up internet and the hotel’s restaurant offers International and Caribbean cuisine. The hotel also has a pool. Snorkeling, scuba diving and hiking excursions can be organized by the hotel.

For the high season, the prices range between US$109.00 per night for a standard double room, US$125.00 per night for a deluxe double room and US$143.00 per night for a cottage room.

Juliana’s Hotel, Windwardside

This is a small and intimate hotel, which allows you to unwind after a year of hard work. The staff can organize different trips for the guests. The hotel has a special connection with a diving school and center on the island so if you need to learn to dive you can do it in the hotel’s pool and then take a diving excursion. Needless to say, the hotel offers some exciting diving packages.

The rooms have either garden view or ocean view and the prices are perfect for the budget traveler. The average year price is US$170 but you need to email the hotel to get a quote.

Queen’s Gardens Resort

Perched on top of a hill, this luxury hotel offer great panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. It also offers an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic getaway. Various packages are available: adventure, Christmas special, honeymoon and diving.

The year round prices range between US$250 per night for a deluxe suite, US$275 per night for a superior suite, US$325 per night for a royal suite, US$425 per night for a queen suite and US$895 per night for a queen’s villa. Rates do not include taxes.
