ResortsAlthough the majority of the resorts are located outside the cities, you can find some nice accommodation in the cities as well. It all depends on what you prefer.

Tourist season

The peak season is represented by Christmas and New Years and the high season extends until end of March. Low season is represented by the wet season (June to November) while between April and June you can easily find good bargains and the weather is still nice enough to enjoy the Caribbean.

Jungle Bay Resort & Spa

The resort comprises 35 treetop cottages, a real nice way to spend a vacation in Dominica. All the cottages are specious and can be reached by a series of footpaths. Special measures have been taken to protect the nature. Some of the cottages are located away from the main paths and some level of fitness is required the get to them. The cottages are equipped with telephone, fridge, shower (semi-outdoor) and fans. The resort also comprises a beach bar and a swimming pool, as well as yoga studios. The basic package contains accommodation and breakfast. Rates are between US$169 per cottage and US$195 per cottage, depending on the season. There is also a Special Inclusive Jungle-Spa Adventure Package available which includes a 3 nights minimum stay, all transfers, daily spa treatments and daily tours. The rates range between $209 each per person (based on double occupancy) and $249 each per person (based on double occupancy) depending on the season. Taxes not included. Special honeymoon packages are also available.

Papillote

This resorts stands in magnificent scenery, at the foot of the hike to Trafalgar Falls and close to the Boiling Lake trail head. The resort is complete with waterfalls, hot pools and great healthy cuisine. The rates are only available for July and August and are US$110 per night for a single room, US$110.00-$115.00 per night for a double room and US$115.00-$130.00 per night for a suite. The meal plan includes breakfast and dinner. Taxes are not included. The resort also offers special adventure packages. The 3-Night Adventure Package costs US$700 per person based on double occupancy and includes accommodation, taxes, meals (breakfast and dinner) as well as tours to the attractions near-by.
