Carnival Freedom Caribbean Cruises

Carnival Freedom, the 2,974 passenger ship owned by Carnival Cruise Lines is bumping up its Caribbean cruises. The ship, which operates out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will now operate year round, rather than on a seasonal basis.

Beginning November 22, 2008, the Carnival Freedom will offer six day cruises departing Sundays and eight day cruises departing on Saturday. Eight day cruises will alternate between the eastern and western Caribbean, with various ports.

Six Day Cruises: Key West, Florida; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Eight-day eastern Caribbean: San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas/St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands; Antigua, Lesser Antilles; Tortola/Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, The Bahamas.

Eight-day western Caribbean: Cozumel, Mexico; Limon, Costa Rica; and Colon, Panama.

The Carnival Freedom offers guests a health and wellness facility, jogging track, duty free shopping, casino and 22 lounges and bars. Dining options include the two main dining rooms offering
extensive menus and wine lists, a 1,200-seat poolside eatery with full breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and a 24-hour pizzeria, and a reservations-only supper club. The kiddies are taken care of with “Camp Carnival” for kids ages 2-11, “Circle C” for ‘tweens, and “Club O2” for older teens — with facilities and activities
