Topless and Nude Beaches in the Caribbean

The Caribbean is a long way from Europe, but those of you who prefer to go au natural can still feel at home on many islands. Overall, the best island to enjoy your vacation in the buff is Jamaica. However, all of the islands in the French West Indies and the Dutch Antilles generally permit topless sunbathing.

Antigua

The Hawksbill Beach Resort offers one nude beach on its property. The resort stretches over 37 acres with four secluded beaches giving you the option to sunbathe nude on one.

Bahamas

Breezes Bahamas is the first and only super-inclusive resort in the Bahamas located in Nassau, at only 15 min from the airport. So you won’t need to worry about additional costs as all meals, drinks, activities and entertainment are included. Plus tipping is not even permitted. The resort welcomes singles, couples and families (children over 14 years old) but it also offers a stretch of nude beach.

Bonaire

Sorobon Beach Resort is a lovely naturist resort is located on the tiny island of Bonaire. The protected bay offers great opportunities for swimming and snorkeling. It’s also where you’ll find the only nudist beach on the entire island. Don’t worry about anything, as the area is completely private.

Dominican Republic

Located in the Dominican Republic, Eden Bay is an all-inclusive naturist (nudist) beach resort. As part of the all inclusive plan you’ll get unlimited wine with dinner, snacks as well as poolside breakfast and all beverages. The scuba and snorkeling gears are also included in the rates. And yeah, you can experience nude scuba and snorkeling.

Guadeloupe

Guadeloupe is French territory, which means topless (and even nude) bathing is normal and you can enjoy that on a public beach: Pointe Tarare. It is located at only 0.7 miles from Pointe des Chateaux and close to St-Francois. For whatever reason, this clothing-optional beach is not crowded with tourists and is, evidently, a favorite among couples. The beach is pristine but, unfortunately, there isn’t any natural shade available. During the high season you can expect more tourists but you can easily sneak and enjoy nude bathing early in the morning.

Jamaica

Couples Resort in Ochos Rios is a couples-only, clothing optional resort which can be a lovely choice for a honeymoon or romantic getaway. Since it’s located on a private island you can be sure there won’t be persons poking their nose while you enjoy the nature without any clothes on.

All Hedonism Resorts allow nude bathing, although there are “normal” beaches as well in all resorts. All resorts are super-inclusive and tipping is not even permitted.

Grand Lido Sans Souci is another resort where nude bathing is permitted. Runaway Bay in Negril is another place where nude bathing is allowed (and pretty much anything goes). The Grand Lido, also in Negril also offers nudity in designated areas, as does the Recolta Resort & Spa. The Sunset Beach Resort & Spa is a nude option in Montego Bay and Breezes Runaway Bay offers the same in Runaway Bay.

St. Barts

St. Barts is a part of the French West Indies, and topless sunbathing is openly allowed. Grand Saline Beach and Anse du Gouveneur both offer you the opportunity to sunbathe and swim nude. At Baie de St. Jean, beach goers are welcome to go topless but not completely nude.

St. Martin

On the French side of St.Martin you will find the Club Orient Resort, a unique naturist vacation village hotel located on a stretch of white sand beach and by the crystal clear water. The beach is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and pretty much any kind of water sport.
